Our cannabis is grown across two complementary Hawke’s Bay sites: Kāinga, our controlled indoor cultivation and processing facility, and Māra, our outdoor and greenhouse cultivation site.

Controlled cultivation and processing
Our 396m² indoor facility supports propagation, mother plant maintenance, drying and processing.
Kāinga gives us the control required to protect consistency, genetics and quality across every cultivation cycle.
Cultivation connected to the whenua
Our Māra site includes approximately one acre of outdoor cultivation and 14 greenhouses.
It allows us to work across natural and protected environments while providing capacity to expand production as demand grows.

Our cultivation programme began with an extensive phenotype hunt designed to identify genetics that perform within the environments in which we actually grow.
From 89 mother plants, 12 were selected based on their suitability to our cultivation conditions and the characteristics they expressed within them.
Rather than forcing every plant into the same system, we select genetics that work with the environment around them.
Hawke’s Bay has long been recognised for what its land can produce.
Its soils, sunlight, seasonal warmth and Pacific coastal influence create distinct growing environments across the region.
For Aho, those conditions are not simply a backdrop to cultivation.
They are part of it.

Hawke’s Bay is more than where we grow. It is part of the cultivar.
Hawke’s Bay sits at approximately the 39th parallel south.
Across the equator, Northern California’s renowned cannabis-growing regions sit around the corresponding northern latitudes.
The environments are not identical. But the geographical parallel is compelling.
Both are Pacific-influenced regions shaped by seasonal light, local soils, climate and generations of agricultural knowledge.
For us, the comparison raises a simple question:
What can exceptional cannabis expression look like in Hawke’s Bay?
Our existing cultivation footprint gives us flexibility across indoor, greenhouse and outdoor production, with additional capacity available as requirements increase.
We have built the system deliberately: capable today, with room to grow tomorrow.
